Which way should I sit on the build plate?

Once you have a model you want to print and you move it into the MakerBot Desktop for printing you need to decide on the best orientation for your file. We learned in the page about supports, that objects cannot just “hang out” in space, the layers all need something to sit upon.  You can minimize the amount of support you need by rotating your object on the build plate. Take a look at the diagram below:

While all of them will print, consider the image below. If it were placed upside down, the supports might not be adequate to get a printed model so the orientation that the user chooses can make a difference on having a successful model being printed.
